The Chasing4Life KHAS-TV StormChase Team is not a group of adrenaline junkies racing around the country looking for that “perfect picture” of the “perfect storm”.  The C4L Team is a team of educators under the direction of well-known author/educator Eddy Weiss; a group driven by a passion to change the way America views the issue of disaster preparedness. 

With unique and compelling presentations and programs, the team’s less-than-conventional and “no-nonsense” approach to the hard issues has proven to be effective nationwide.

With literally thousands reached in just the last few months, the team continues to gain momentum as it battles complacency and ignorance in a land wrought with disaster situations.

While hurricanes rage and tornadoes sweep the country, you are bound to see this “Extreme Team” out and about, but a majority of their time is spent  in schools, businesses, churches and community halls as they empower the American public with educational programming.  Drawing crowds with their spectacular and popular chase vehicles, the team is always in demand.

Now, the Chasing4Life StormTracking Team has grown alongside the original chase team, and new C4L programming allows the average citizen to become even more involved in their own personal safety as well as the safety of America’s communities.

A note from the director:

Disaster preparedness is a tough subject and needs to be addressed by a group that is not afraid to state the facts and attack complacency head-on.  Our team is just such a group.  This is not the movie Twister come-to-life… this is the real thing and it is about real lives and real change. We are not a band of motorized marauders that needlessly exceed speed limits to attain pretty pictures of spectacular storms, but rather a group of individuals that have worked hard to gain certifications in dozens of areas of disaster preparedness, mitigation, planning and recovery so that we can better educate the American public how to save their own lives.

We have worked long and hard to develop programs and presentations for corporate America, rural communities, the small business owner, churches, schools and civic groups.  Don’t call us tornado chasers- that is not what we are about. With current ongoing research projects involving lightning detection, the New Madrid Earthquake Zone, rural disaster response, global warming and more, I’d say we are a lot more than tornado chasers.
