The C4L Team is a team of educators under the direction of well-known author/educator Eddy Weiss; a group driven by a passion to change the way America views the issue of disaster preparedness.
The Chasing4Life Team is not a group of adrenaline
junkies racing around the country looking for that “perfect picture” of
the “perfect storm”, but rather a group of passionate educators presenting over 800 programs nationwide on subjects ranging from tornado safety to the importance of home disaster kits to agro-terrorism threat mitigation.
With unique and compelling presentations and programs, the team’s less-than-conventional and “no-nonsense” approach to the hard issues has proven to be effective nationwide.
With literally thousands reached in just the last few months, the team continues to gain momentum as it battles complacency and ignorance in a land wrought with disaster situations.
While hurricanes rage and tornadoes sweep the country, you are bound to see the Chasing4Life Team out and about, but a majority of their time is spent in schools, businesses, churches and community halls as they empower the American public with educational programming. With several instructors and educators on staff, the team is in a constant state of touring the country and demand continues to increase.
Known for the Chasing4Life Severe Weather Monitoring and Research vehicles that several of the educators travel in, the popularity and impact of the Chasing4Life programs has gained intensity like never before. Chasing4Life's Whirlwind Foundation has begun to create incentive programs and opportunities for the hundreds of agencies, organizations, schools and libraries wanting to become a part in this grand effort of building a more resilient America.
With a full roster of trained disaster recovery and response volunteers, Chasing4Life responds to disasters around the country lending manpower, expertise and guidance during post-disaster situatioons. This involvement only increases the insight into today's present disaster threats and the importance of education throughout America's communities.
A note from the director:
Disaster preparedness is a tough subject and needs to be addressed by a group that is not afraid to state the facts and attack complacency head-on. Our team is just such a group. This is not the movie Twister come-to-life… this is the real thing and it is about real lives and real change. We are not a band of motorized marauders that needlessly exceed speed limits to attain pretty pictures of spectacular storms, but rather a group of individuals that have worked hard to gain certifications in dozens of areas of disaster preparedness, mitigation, planning and recovery so that we can better educate the American public how to save their own lives.
We have worked long and hard to develop programs and presentations for corporate America, rural communities, the small business owner, churches, schools and civic groups. Don’t call us tornado chasers- that is not what we are about. With current ongoing research projects involving lightning detection, the New Madrid Earthquake Zone, rural disaster response, global warming and more, It is obvious that Chasing4Life is not a storm chase team but an educational entity.
If you want a hardcore team with a hardcore message that brings results, then you are at the right place. The question has been asked many times…”What’s in a name?”
Well, we’re Chasing4Life.
